The Camosun College Chargers men’s golf team emerged as repeat champions this weekend following Sunday’s closing round of the 2016 Pacific Western Athletic Association (PACWEST) golf season. Over the four-tournament season, Camosun topped the team competition by an impressive 22 strokes to lay claim to their second consecutive conference title.

Camosun Charger Savana Walkingbear: Understanding the past, changing the future

With textbooks and gym bag in tow, Savana Walkingbear pulls open the heavy steel glass door of the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence and is instantly met by his teammates and three assistant coaches who greet him with a succession of high fives. With a watchful eye, he makes his way past a barrage of volleyballs served mechanically from the opposite end of the court. In the Camosun Chargers team room he changes into his practice gear and receives a quick, routine taping by one of the team's athletic therapists.

Camosun wins bid to host CCAA National Championship

Camosun College has been awarded the 2017 CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship. Camosun's bid to host Nationals was approved today at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association’s annual Winter Board Meeting in Ottawa. The event will take place in Victoria, BC, March 8-11, 2017.

Charles Parkinson will be trading in his Head Coach duties to head up the Play-by-Play at the 2016 Men’s NORCECA Continental Olympic Qualification Tournament in Edmonton, January 8-10. The winner of the qualifying tournament will go to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and Canada is in the running.
