Chargers golf team captured its fourth British Columbia Colleges’ Athletic Association (BCCAA) Provincial Championship banner this past weekend at Tournament #4 of the 2007 BCCAA league golf season held in Victoria at the Olympic View Golf Club (October 21-22).
“It’s been a long season. The players fought hard and our depth came through. The momentum from our silver medal last week at the CCAA National Championship really helped us win today.” Head Coach, Troy Dunning

"I was very pleased with our effort in this game. We are still pretty banged up. Jeff Spoor, Isaac Neubert and Spencer Fyfe-Wilson are still out with injuries and we lost Max Bell in the fist half with a foot injury; but we competed well with the #1 ranked team in the country. We were only down five at the half. It was good to see Brian Waterman break out with a season-high 25 points. Our young players got substantial floor time and did well." Head Coach, Gord Thatcher

"We only had seven players for this game - Max Bell, Jeff Spoor, Isaac Neubert and Spencer Fyfe-Wilson were out with injuries and Brian Waterman had a family tragedy. Even so, this was a disapppointing effort, as we gave up 99 points! We shot the ball terribly from the field and the line. We were tired and it showed." Head Coach, Gord Thatcher

"The game was a scrappy one and almost degenerated into a brawl, but the refs managed to keep things under control. We had a terrible second quarter as we led 38-37 at halftime. We had a great third quarter and led by 22 at the end of the quarter. We led by as many as 25 points and won 82-63 which once again is too many points to concede." Head Coach, Brett Westcott
