Catch the action as the Camosun College Chargers and the VIU Mariners basketball and volleyball teams hit the hardwood to battle for the 2009-2010 Island Rivalry title. The second and final series of this year’s Rivalry takes place in Victoria at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence February 5 & 6.
In the first leg of the series, Camosun conceded to the VIU Mariners in November 2009 three games to one. The Mariners took both volleyball matches, sailing away with a 3-1 win for the women and a 3-0 win for the men. In basketball action, the Camosun men were hammered by VIU who cruised to a 90-52 victory. 
Putting up the single win for Camosun were the Chargers women who outscored the Lady M’s 60-49, denying VIU of a perfect weekend.
Don’t miss this event as the Chargers dig in with all fours to come back strong against the Mariners on home ground!
