Third-year right side Aleks Saddlemyer put out an incredible performance this weekend and was instrumental in helping the Camosun Chargers squad get back to its winning ways with two tough wins over Capilano. Aleks Saddlemyer

Aleks set the pace for the Chargers on Friday by scoring a match high 19 kills, but it was his display of blocking that was nothing short of remarkable. The 6’5” Parklands grad notched an unbelievable 9 block points and denied CAP's outside hitters all night. Aleks rounded out his performance with 1 ace from the service line and 7 digs to give Camosun a hard fought 3-2 win.

On Saturday, Aleks continued his exceptional form, once again setting the pace with 20 kills, many coming out of the back row. Once again he put up solid block numbers with 4 stuff blocks for points, 2 aces and 4 digs, helping the Chargers down the Blues 3-1.

β€œAll together it was a great weekend for Aleks,” commented Chargers head coach Charles Parkinson. β€œHe is well deserving of Player of the Week honours.
