About 80 secondary students representing School Districts 61, 62, 63, 64 and 79 competed in seven trades and technology skills contests. Gold medal winners have now earned the right to represent the South Island region at the 20th annual Skills Canada BC provincial competition, to be held in Abbotsford on April 9, 2014. Provincial gold-medal winners will join TeamBC at the national competition, scheduled for June 4-7 in Toronto.
