Camosun DECA team wins first at International Leadership Conference

Camosun DECA members in New York: Meghan Francoeur, Natasia Tiginagas, Heather Campbell, Kaitlin James, Melissa Thimot, David Noble, Duncan Hauser, Jordan Payne, Nathan Strickland, Jake Morris, Taejong Kang, Chanho Lee and Martin Kim.
Camosun's School of Business DECA members received a first-place International Business and Finance award at DECA's Collegiate Leadership Academy in New York City on November 14-16, 2013.
Camosun's DECA students competed against students from the United States and Canada in case competitions in Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Fashion Merchandising & Management, and Hospitality & Culinary Arts.
The Camosun DECA team completed a gruelling 22-page Harvard Business Review case study applying insights gained from exclusive tours of Manhattan's PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the International Trademark Association.
DECA is an international college-level club of business students. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
