These are just a few of the projects on display at the Capstone Symposium scheduled for 9am-3:30pm, Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Pacific Forestry Centre, 506 West Burnside Road, Victoria, BC. Organized by the graduating students, Capstone is the last stage before graduation from two diploma programs:  Computer Systems Technology and Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology – Renewable Energy

"Making a real-world connection is a valuable aspect of Capstone," says Saryta Schaerer, program chair for Camosun's computer science department. "Each Computer Systems Technology team has a sponsor who is depending on these students to create a functional solution that can be applied to some aspect of their organization."

Two guest speakers have been invited:  Darren Beckwith, Product Designer and Senior Firmware Lead at Carmanah Technologies will start things off at 9:30am and George Walker, Software Manager from Reliable Controls will be first up after lunch at 12:30pm. Student teams will each give 15-minute presentations from 10am-noon and 1-3:30pm.
