Renovated Lansdowne recreation facilities provide room to move
Ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, tribal and belly—Camosun is moving to a bunch of new beats.

The new movement studio at Lansdowne!
With a major renovation completed, including the creation of a movement studio and a larger fitness room, the Lansdowne fitness centre is offering a variety of dance classes to students and the community.
"We've partnered with the Victoria Dance Theatre Company, to offer a series of Sunday afternoon dance workshops which we hope will entice the public to come, dance and enjoy our great facilities," says Meghan Lambeth, Camosun Fitness and Recreation Manager.
The dance workshops include tribal community dance, ballet, AfroFunk and lyrical, a combination of ballet and jazz. The workshops are open to everyone and are only $10/class ($15 for the 1.5 hour classes). Check the schedule...
"We think these workshops are a great way to introduce ourselves to the Camosun community, as well as the general public," says Desiree Armstrong Co-director of Victoria Dance Theatre. "Our emphasis is on maintenance of the dance lifestyle. We provide a welcoming, non-competitive and nurturing environment."
