Mike Sroka spent several years as a photographer with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. Now, in a Victoria premiere, Sroka’s multi-media presentation “To Fly” takes viewers behind-the-scenes to what it was like to train, travel and fly with the Snowbirds.

Pre-registration through Camosun’s Continuing Education department is required for this event, scheduled Saturday, September 18, 2-4:30pm at the Lansdowne campus. The cost is $25 plus HST, and includes refreshments. Register now...

“For me, it wasn't simply about flying or taking pictures,” says Sroka. “It was about meeting people and telling their stories. It was about putting smiles on faces at both air shows and hospitals across North America. Although I have to say, it is definitely a rush taking pictures while upside down or in the middle of a loop with jets all around you!”
