On Friday January 29, the Gibson Auditorium on the Lansdowne Campus of Camosun College (map)will be hosting an evening of smokin’ hot Rhythm & Blues. It’s all part of a class project by video students from the Applied Communication Program.

Eric Emde of The Midnights and the Vic High R&B band will be providing an hour of live music which the video students will be recording using the studio facilities of the Applied Communication Program.

“This is an innovative project for our students' says ACP Chair Andy Bryce. “They will be working in a public space with an audience, and a really dynamic band. It will challenge them on many fronts, and it’s going to be a lot fun.”

The general public is welcome to attend—admission is free but limited to the first 120 people. “The audience will play a big part of this” says Bryce. “They add a sense of tension and excitement that should turn this into a really special event.

Things get underway at 7:30 pm on Friday January 29.
