Camosun College Board of Governors Chair Mr. Kim Hesketh is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Board member, effective July 31, 2008.
Local community member Mr. Scott Marshall has been appointed through a recent Provincial Government Order in Council. Marshall was a charter student at Simon Fraser University and received a Bachelor of Laws Degree from UBC in 1972. He has practised law since 1973, for the past 30 years with the firm of Wilson Marshall. After his move to Victoria in 1975 he served as an instructor in Business Law at Camosun College for three years. He presently focuses on corporate/commercial and real estate law.
“I am delighted to welcome Scott to the Camosun College Board,” said Chair Kim Hesketh. “His experience and expertise blend well with the range of skills already present, resulting in an energetic and dynamic Board to guide Camosun through the coming years.” Hesketh gratefully acknowledges outgoing board member Mr. David Johns, who completes a six-year term on the Board of Governors. “We thank David for his tremendous contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
