BCCAA Golf Athlete of the Week, Phil Kondrak.1st year golfer Phil Kondrak, from Victoria won the Silver Medal in the men’s individual Championships at the PING CCAA National Open Golf Championships hosted by Selkirk College at the Castlegar Golf Club.

Phil’s three-day total of 216 was one stroke short of the eventual champion James Castle (215) from Humber College in Ontario. Phil consistently improved over the three-day tourney with scores of 74/72/70.

"Phil Kondrak was the only player over the 54 hole tournament to not have scored a double-bogey (or higher)” stated coach Dunning. “At that golf course (Castlegar G.C.) that was literally unheard of. His consistent play was also a motivating force for the entire team". Phil’s scores assisted the Charger team in collecting the National Silver medal in team competition. Phil was also selected to the CCAA All tournament team.

The last BCCAA Tournament of the season is the Camosun Invitational October 20-21, 2007 in Victoria.
