2019 AASHE Conference & Student Summit October 27-30, 2019
Camosun is pleased to offer funding for two eligible students to represent the college at the 2019 Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Conference & Student Summit held in Spokane WA. Oct. 27‐30. This year's theme is, Co-Creating a Sustainable Economy.
AASHE's Conference and Student Summit is a platform for student sustainability leaders to network with hundreds of other like-minded students from around the globe. Attendees will learn about career pathways in sustainability and strategies to make change on their campuses and in their communities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with professional organizations and activist networks that can amplify their efforts and provide ongoing support.

Camosun Bike to Work Week May 27-June 2, 2019
Bike to Work Week started right here in Victoria 25 years ago. The Greater Victoria Bike to Work Society continues to organize the annual FREE community event which has grown from 50 teams and 500 participants in 1997 to over 600 teams and 6,500 participants in 2016.

Cultivating Appreciation April 8-11, 2019
In celebration of Earth Day and the wonderful community that we live in, Camosun’s Employee Wellness Program Healthy Together! and Sustainability Office, will be hosting a number of events from April 8 to 11.
Camosun Farmers Market October 3, 2018
Hosted on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ people, the Camosun Farmers Market will inspire and engage people by increasing access to local food, enhancing the student experience, and inviting the community to take part in a fun and engaging event. Local farmers and producers will have the opportunity to sell their goods as well as showcase how they are contributing to a more sustainable future.

Michelle Clement Chair and Instructor, Camosun Marketing Department
Michelle Clement, Chair and instructor of Marketing at Camosun understands that connecting and contributing to society provides not only invaluable experiences but also enhances the learning of her students. That’s why Michelle incorporates field trips into the curriculum and connects class projects with outside organizations. “When students work with the community they see that what they are learning applies and so do their ideas. It is very rewarding,” she explains.
