Yoga for the Nervous System

Feeling nervous or having troubles sleeping? Our current culture is hyper-stimulated! We run in stress mode most of the time and are so used to stimulation that we don't know how to relax. Instead of practicing a natural rhythm between activity and rest, we are conditioned to being busy. As a result, anxiety, irritability and sleeplessness are our constant companions.

Yoga for the Nervous System series explores the mind-body mechanisms and methods utilized for stress management and anxiety reduction to regulate the nervous system.

This is for you if you want to help yourself to:

  • Reduce anxiety and manage stress
  • Learn how to self-soothe and settle your nervous system
  • Feel more connected to your body and feeling states

These sessions apply polyvagal theory for a therapeutic experience that nourishes the nervous system and brings balance to our rhythms of regulation. A variety of embodiment and yoga practices are offered to help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system and develop a felt sense of resilience to stress and anxiety. Practices are gentle and accessible for all, offering mat practices adaptable for the chair.
