Short-Term Programs provide you with the independence of an exchange but over a shorter time period. Most programs are offered in the summer, and run for two to six weeks. You may qualify for transfer credit and scholarships, depending on the program.

Ochanomizu is a women’s university that traces its origins to 1875 and ranks
among one of Japan’s top universities. Located in the heart of Tokyo, Ochanomizu
is a comprehensive university with a rich history and a close-knit community.
Camosun has a short-term program agreement in place that allows up to four
Camosun students per year to enrol in one of Ochanomizu’s special summer
programs.
Programs
Option 1: Japanese language courses:
- Introductory Class for absolute beginners: students with no prior experience learning Japanese
- Introductory Class for beginners: students with N5/CEFR A1 or equivalent proficiency
- Pre-Intermediate Class: students with N4/CEFR A2 or equivalent proficiency
Option 2: Select one of the following:
- Gender, Globalization and Diversity in Contemporary Japan
- Food, Crafts and Physical Activities in Japan
- Advances in Natural Sciences
