Understand your rights and responsibilities as a Camosun student

As a member of the Camosun community, it’s important to understand the standards of behaviour expected of students and the potential penalties for violating those standards.

Learning supports are available

Camosun has a rich network of academic supports for students. Help Centres provide support for coursework. The Writing Centre will help you develop your academic writing skills and the Student Success Centre provides learning guides and provides one-on-one sessions to support your academic success. The Library provides print and electronic materials to support your coursework, and librarians available to help you with research.

Students with a documented need can visit the Center for Accessible Learning to discuss options for classroom accommodations.

Transportation

If you’re taking courses that include limited face-to-face instruction, learn about your options for commuting to campus.

Wellness and well-being

Camosun offers services to support your health and personal well-being, including Counselling and Fitness and Recreation services.

Student health and dental benefits are made available by the Camosun College Student Society (CCSS).

Eligible students that already are covered by an extended benefits plan or would like to add their spouse or dependants to their health and dental coverage must apply online before the deadline which is no later than 30 days after the official start date of their class or program, once per benefit year.

Interculturalization and Diversity at Camosun

Camosun is a destination for learners from all over the world. As a Camosun student, you will build intercultural knowledge and competence by learning and engaging in a multicultural environment.

The CCSS funds and facilitates clubs for the student community at Camosun. Get involved with a club to make friends and get connected to the Camosun community.
